This article will help you understand the Advanced Settings that are offered by the Scanova QR Code Generator.
Basically, there are six types of settings that are offered and these are as follows:
- Customize Short URL- You can replace Scanova’s standard Dynamic QR Code short URL (e.g., https://scnv.io/AbCd) with a personalized URL (e.g. https://scnv.io/cafemenu or https://qr.cafe.com/menu). For further details, please refer to Custom Domain: How to customize redirecting URLs
- Add Password Protection- You can use this setting to add password protection to the Dynamic QR Code. Upon scanning, a password will be required to access the QR Code content
- Capture Leads- This setting will lead to gathering information on the user's data (e.g., contact info, registration details, etc.) via a custom lead form. Before being able to see the QR Code, the user scanning the QR Code will receive the form that needs to be filled out. - Auto-Deactivate QR Code- You can use this option to automatically expire/deactivate a QR Code on a specific date and time. Once you specify the date and time and update the QR Code, the QR Code will no longer work after the specified date and time without any further manual intervention. - Age Restriction- You can use this option to restrict content for users below a certain age. Users will be prompted to enter their date of birth to continue. For further details, please refer to the detailed article on How do I enable a Age-restriction check on my QR Codes
- Get the Exact GPS Location of Scan- You can use this setting to get the exact location of each scan with the user's permission only.
