Most online QR Code Generators allow you to generate standard black-and-white QR Codes. While these are functional, they are not ideal for marketing and promotional use cases.
Scanova QR Code Generator allows you to personalize your QR Codes as per your brand. Typically, custom-designed QR Codes attract 50-200% more scans than standard black-and-white QR Codes.
After you have generated your QR Code using Scanova, there are two ways by which you can edit the design of your QR Codes:
- Custom Logo Design: Choose this to create a branded QR Code with custom colors, patterns, and logo/image.
- AI-Generated Design: Available only for Pro and Enterprise Plan users. Choose this to create AI-generated QR Codes.
Follow the steps below to get started:
1. Login to your Scanova account or sign up to create a QR Code.
2. By default, the QR Code will be black-and-white. If you wish to customize the QR Code design, click on Edit Design.
3. You will see two QR Code design types: Custom Logo Design and AI-generated design (only available to Pro and Enterprise Plan users)
A. Custom Logo Design
1. If you choose Custom Logo Design Design, you can customize your QR Code by adding a logo, colors, patterns, and more.
2. Choose from saved templates (if any) or Scanova’s default templates. If you don’t have any saved templates, opt for a default template and go to the next step.
3. Select a frame for your QR Code to make it visually appealing. You can also change the frame specifications like background color, text color, etc.
4. Choose a logo or icon from the gallery or upload your own logo (PNG and JPEG only). You can adjust the size of the logo and remove the blocks around it.
Alternatively, you can also add text at the center of your QR Code. Write your own text or choose from existing templates. Here you can change the text box size, text color, font, and more. Once you have added your logo, click next.
5. Change the eye pattern and eye color of your QR Code, if you want to. Once done, go to the next step.
6. If needed, change the pattern and color of data modules.
7. Next, you can choose a background color for your QR Code or make the background transparent.
8. Error Correction ensures that a QR Code works even if it’s damaged or dirty. For Custom Logo Design, Error Correction has been set automatically to ensure scannability.
9. Once you finalize the QR Code design, click Done Editing. Go ahead and download your QR Code.
10. Always scan and test your QR Code before downloading the final image.
11. Download your QR Code image in the size and format you need. It’s advisable to download the image in vector format (SVG, EPS) if you plan to use it on print media.
B. AI-Generated Design (for Pro & Enterprise Plan only)
1. Once you have generated your QR Code. Click on Edit Design and select AI-Generated Design.
2. Input a prompt describing your desired background design. AI will use this prompt to generate a background that is visually appealing and aligns with your requirements.
3. You can also add a Negative Prompt i.e. specifying what you don’t want in your design.
4. Adjust the QR Code Weight to ensure the visibility of your QR Code against the AI-generated image. A higher QR Code Weight emphasizes the QR Code and ensures better scannability, while a lower weight gives more prominence to the AI-generated background.
5. Once done, click on Generate and your QR Code is ready to download. Scan and test your QR Code before downloading.
6. Download your QR Code image in PNG or JPEG format. The size of the image downloaded will be equal to the size of the background image.
