1. Create QR Code for a Youtube video
By using a QR Code to link to a YouTube video, it is effortless for viewers to access the content. Viewers can simply scan the QR code with smartphone, and the video will open directly in the YouTube app or a web browser.
Follow the steps below to create a QR Code for a YouTube video:
- Log in to the Scanova QR Code Generator
- Choose the Website URL QR Code category from the list of QR Code types available
- Copy the URL of the YouTube video to create the QR Code by copying the URL from the browser's address bar or click the Share button below the video and then select Copy link
- Paste the YouTube link in the content box
- Click on Continue and enter the QR Code name and Tag
- Click on Create QR Code
Note: Customize the QR Code by clicking on Edit design if needed
2. Create a QR Code for a Video/Podcast
A. If the video is Hosted Online
If the video is hosted online (say YouTube), copy the link of the video and paste it into the Website URL QR Code.
Alternatively, provide the link of the video in other QR Code categories (Wedding, Event, Product, Custom Page, Coupon, VCard) which have a 'Video' component. The Video's thumbnail will be visible on the landing page.
B. If a video is not Hosted Online
- Upload the video on a cloud storage site like Google Drive, Dropbox, AWS S3, etc.
- Copy the video's shareable link
- Login to your Scanova account
- Choose the Website URL QR Code, or any other QR Code category having the 'Video' component for the landing page, such as Wedding, Event, Product, Custom Page, Coupon, VCard QR Codes, etc.
- Paste the link of the video and click on Create QR Code
- Enter a name for the QR Code and click on Save
- Proceed to Design and Download the QR Code
C. Upload a Video
- Upload the video on a cloud storage site like Google Drive, Dropbox, AWS S3, etc.
- Copy the video's shareable link
- Login to your Scanova account
- Choose the Website URL QR Code, or any other QR Code category having the 'Video' component for the landing page, such as Wedding, Event, Product, Custom Page, Coupon, VCard QR Codes, etc.
- Paste the link of the video and click on Create QR Code
- Enter a name for the QR Code and click on Save
- Proceed to Design and Download the QR Code
3. Add multiple locations in a single QR Code
A. Website URL QR Code with Google Maps Link
- Go to Google Maps and sign in and allow for public access
- Click the Menu icon at the top left corner
- Click the Places > Maps > Create Map
- A new window will open
- Name the map and add a description. Click Save
- Pinpoint the location to show. Do it manually by clicking the marker icon and placing it on the map. Search for locations via the search box
Note: Name the location and add it to the map while adding the locations manually. While using the search box, a green marker will appear, click Add the map link.
Repeat these steps for each location to be added to the map. Once the map is complete, copy the 'link to share' and add it to the Website URL Code.
B. Create a Custom Page QR Code
- Login to the Scanova account
- Click on 'Create QR Code' and select Custom Page QR Code
- Click on the Map location button
- Now search the location in the search bar
Note: Add up to 20 different locations by adding more Map location buttons on the landing page.
A Custom Page QR Code will create a landing page of all map location buttons. This landing page will appear when the QR Code is scanned.
