This article explains how to cancel a subscription in Scanova and outlines what happens after the subscription is canceled.
If you no longer wish to use Scanova or need to discontinue your subscription, you can easily cancel it at any time. This guide will walk you through the steps to cancel your subscription and explain what happens to your account and services once the cancellation is processed.
A. How to Cancel Your Subscription
- Login to the Scanova Account
- From the left sidebar, click on Subscription > Cancel Subscription
- Enter the Scanova account's password for a confirmation post which the subscription will be canceled
The account will not be billed in the next cycle, but the data will remain saved for 26 months in case the subscription is restarted.
B. What Happens After Canceling the Subscription?
Using Scanova QR Code Generator, users can generate 2 types of QR Codes — Static and Dynamic. Let's look at the consequences on both QR Code types once the subscription is canceled.
B1. Static QR Codes
Static QR Codes are non-editable, meaning the content cannot be changed once the QR Code is generated. However, once created, Static QR Codes function indefinitely and do not require an ongoing subscription with the service provider.
Additionally, Static QR Codes are non-trackable, meaning it is not possible to track how many people have scanned the QR Code.
Even if when the subscription is canceled, the Static QR Codes will continue to work forever as they are permanent.
B2. Dynamic QR Codes
Dynamic QR Codes are URL-based and 'editable,' meaning the linked content can be updated at any time while the QR Code image remains unchanged.
Additionally, Dynamic QR Codes are trackable, allowing scan analytics to be monitored for the codes created and saved in the account.
However, Dynamic QR Codes function only with an active subscription. If the subscription is canceled, Dynamic QR Codes will stop working, and users will not be able to view the content linked to them. See Plans and Pricing for more details.
