This article explains the various payment methods Scanova supports for subscribing to a plan, updating payment details, and alternative payment options for businesses.
Scanova offers multiple payment methods to ensure flexibility and convenience for users. Whether you prefer using a credit card, PayPal, or Wire Transfer, Scanova supports a variety of options to cater to different needs. This article outlines the available payment methods, how to use them, and how to manage your payment details.
A. Accepted Payment Methods
- Scanova accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
- Users can easily subscribe to any plan using their credit or debit card during the checkout process on the Scanova website
A1. Credit/Debit Cards via Scanova Account Dashboard
This is the default payment method. When a subscription is purchased online through a Scanova account, users have the option to pay via debit card, credit card, or PayPal. The following card types are accepted:
Upon successful payment, the account will automatically be upgraded.
If this payment method is not preferred, or if technical issues arise (such as non-authorization or the payment gateway not accepting the bank cards), alternate payment methods outlined below can be used.
A2. Debit Card/Credit Card/PayPal via custom link
If unable to make a payment via the default method, a custom payment link (generated through PayPal or Stripe) can be used as an alternative.
Here’s how to request a custom payment link and make the payment:
- Contact Support: Send a request to support@scanova.io indicating the desire to make a one-time payment via a custom link
- Provide Details: Mention the plan (Basic, UltraLite, Lite, Standard, Pro) and the subscription period (1 Month or 12 Months). If a specific deal or amount has been agreed upon, include those details in the request
- Receive Custom Payment Link: The support team will share a custom payment link. Since this link is generated through an alternate gateway, it should work if the default method fails
- Complete Payment: Use debit card, credit card, or PayPal to make the payment. After completing the transaction, send the support team a confirmation screenshot
- Account Upgrade: Once verified, the support team will upgrade the Scanova account to the selected plan and subscription period
If the custom link provided is via PayPal, here are the available payment options:
- Payment via PayPal Account
- Payment via Debit/Credit Card
B. Wire Transfer
This option can be exercised if:
- The user is a business or enterprise with an invoicing process for releasing funds to vendors (involving a service agreement, vendor registration, purchase order, invoice, payment terms, etc.)
- The user is an Indian customer and wishes to make a payment in INR.
Please note that this option is only available for a minimum subscription period of 1 year (i.e., annual subscription)
To make a payment using wire transfer:
- Contact Scanova's support team at support@scanova.io by sharing the subscription plan and the period of subscription and to receive the bank details and an invoice
- Once the payment is processed, provide proof of payment to the support team, and the subscription will be activated
C. Updating Payment Details
Here's how payment details can be updated:
- Login to the Scanova account
- From the left sidebar, click on Subscription > Update Payment Method
- Enter new Card Details and click on Update Card
D. Secure Payment Processing
The Scanova QR Code Generator application does not directly store credit or debit card information, and none of the employees have access to this data.
When a purchase is made, payment information (credit card, debit card, or PayPal) is securely stored by 2Checkout or Stripe, the payment gateway providers. This information is used for recurring payments if that option has been selected.
D1. 2CheckOut's statement on security
2Checkout is PCI Level 1 certified - the highest level certification possible. Our redundant data centers store and encrypt millions of credit card accounts so you can focus on your business and not on credit card security.
2Checkout is committed to protecting you, your business and your customers from fraudulent activities. We offer a three-tier defense strategy to identify fraudulent activity and keep fraud from impacting your operations. Our approach is rigorous and straightforward.
We use statistical algorithms and data collection techniques to assess more than 300 variables in under 3 seconds to identify markers of fraud. Our algorithms are proprietary to our business and customized to different industries and geographies.
D2. Stripe's statement of security
Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.
All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plaintext card numbers but can request that cards are sent to a service provider on a static allowlist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting environment, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, and so on).
