Creating a compelling landing page is essential to capturing your audience's attention, promoting a specific offer, and converting visitors into customers.Scanova offers to build and customize landing pages with ease.
A. Embed videos on a landing page
Use this feature to learn about embedding videos to the Landing Pages of the Web Application Scanova QR Code Generator.
Scanova has improved the capability of designing landing pages linked with Dynamic QR Codes with a new design component—Video.
When designing landing pages (such as with Custom Page QR Code, Product QR Code, etc.), add a button that when clicked redirects to the video either uploaded as a file or as a shareable URL.
There are two ways to embed video in a landing page:
- Save the Video's URL: Upload the video on any cloud storage for example Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. and provide its URL in the Contents section of the landing page
- Upload video: Directly upload the video on the landing page. The video limit size is 50MB. Also, add a thumbnail image. The size limit of the image is 5MB
Note:
- This feature is only available in the Enterprise Plan
- It is possible to add multiple video buttons on the landing page (upto 20).
B. Attach Files to a landing page
Scanova has improved the capability of designing landing pages linked with Dynamic QR Codes with a new design component—File.
When designing landing pages (such as with Custom Page QR Code, Product QR Code, etc.), add a button that when clicked, redirects to an uploaded file (Documents, Audios, or Images).
To add this component on the landing page, simply click on File in the list of available components:
It is possible to Upload File via computer or upload files securely via Google Drive, OneDrive, or an external link/URL. The maximum file size should not exceed 20 MB.
When this QR Code is scanned, the end user will see a landing page with links to all uploaded files. Each file can be viewed and downloaded.
Note: Add multiple file buttons to the landing page (up to 20). Upload File > My Device option will be available only in Standard and Pro subscriptions. However, you can provide file links in the Basic, Lite, and Ultra-Lite plans.
C. Provide a Map Location on a landing page
Scanova also has improved the capability of designing landing pages linked with Dynamic QR Codes with a new design component—Map Location.
When designing landing pages (such as with Custom Page, Product, Social Media, VCard Profile, Wedding, Event, and Coupon QR Code), you can now add a button that when clicked, redirects to a map location.
To add this component to the landing page, simply click on Map Location in the list of available components:
Note: Add multiple Map Location buttons on the landing page (upto 20).
D. Custom Forms: Collect data from end-users
This feature allows users to add a Custom Form field that would be displayed on the landing page and the end-users (people who scan the QR Code) would be able to submit the information requested in the Custom Form. You can then download the form response data submitted by the end-users via a CSV file.
This feature is currently available in the following categories:
- Custom Page QR Code
- Product QR Code
- VCard Profile QR Code
- Wedding QR code
- Event QR Code
- Coupon QR Code
D.1. Create/add a Custom form feature to your QR Code
- Click on Create QR Code and select the category
- Under Enter Content, select Add Custom Form from the ‘Available Components’ section
D.2. Design your Form
The Form contains the following fields:
- Using the Form Description option, add custom content for providing instructions to fill the form. It will be displayed on the landing page and is a text-only field. The form description field is an ‘optional’ field. The maximum allowed character limit is 500 characters
- A question block contains the following sub-fields:
- Question: Enter the question in the given field. The maximum allowed character limit is 200 characters for the Question
- Question Description: Using this sub-field, enter custom text describing the question, and any other information that the user would like to provide to the end-user can be added via this
- Answer Type: Using this sub-field, select the response format to an added question. This field provides a dropdown list via which to select the answer type. The dropdown list will display the following options: Short answer, Paragraph, Multiple choice, Checkboxes, Dropdown List, Linear scale, Date, Time, Email Address, Phone number

Add Question (+) button: Add Question (+) button is provided just below the default question block – Question 1. After clicking the Add Question (+) button, a new question field block will be added to the landing page. The maximum allowed question limit is 20

Submit Button: Using this option, add a submit button to the landing page, This block has the following options:
- Button Text: Provide a text that will appear on the button
- Button Text Design: Customize the button text and color

Button Design: Design the look of the button
- Edit Form Formatting button: Using this, add the Form Formatting section, to format all the sections of the form. The formatting options selected would be applicable to all question block text and form description text. A Clear button is also provided to remove the Form Formatting section. Click on the clear button, and the Edit Form Formatting button will be again displayed below the Submit button
- Add Form Expiry button: Add the expiration date, time, and time zone of the form
E. Download the captured data
- Go to the My QR Code section
- Click on View/Edit on the QR Code to download the data
- Click on the Generate option in the Download Data section
- A notification will be sent to the registered Email address with a link to download the report
- Add an Event Tracking feature on the Submit button to track the number of clicks and engagement rate if needed.
F. Create HTML-based landing pages using the Description Box component
The Description Box component allows users to add a description of any product, business, or event. It allows text and design with multiple fonts, images, or any source code to this description box.
Here are the QR Code categories for which users can add the Description Box component on the landing page:
- Social Media
- VCard Profile
- Wedding
- Event
- Product
- Custom Page
- Coupon
F.1. Add a source code in the Description Box Component
- Login into the Scanova account
- Select the QR Code to add the source code
- Click on the Source Icon in the Description Box component
- A pop-up of the page will appear where the Source Code has to be written
- Write the code and Click on the OK button to Add the Code
- See the content of the code on the Description Box component
- Multiple Description Boxes are allowed to be added to a landing page
