Password protection on QR Codes is a useful feature to control access to sensitive information, such as private documents, restricted files, or exclusive event details. With Scanova, easily set a password on the Dynamic QR Codes, providing an additional layer of security.
A. Create a Dynamic QR Code
- Log in to the Scanova account
- Navigate to Create QR Code from the dashboard
- Select a QR Code category such as Website URL, File, or any other content type
- Add the necessary content (e.g., URL, file, or form)
- Click Create QR Code to generate your Dynamic QR Code
B. Add Password Protection
- Go to the My QR Codes section on the dashboard
- Locate the QR Code
- In the Settings tab, scroll down to the Password Protection option
- Toggle the switch to enable Password Protection
- Enter the desired password in the text field
- Save the changes by clicking Save Settings
C. Sharing the QR Code
When sharing a password-protected QR Code, ensure that the intended recipients have the password:
- The QR Code will prompt users to enter the password before revealing its content
- Share the password via email or other secure communication methods
D. Editing or Removing Password Protection
- Go back to the My QR Codes section
- Click on the QR Code to modify
- In the Settings tab, locate the Password Protection field
- Edit or clear the password as needed, then click Save Settings to update
