This article explains whether and how to edit the information stored in the QR Code. This is useful for users who want to update or change the content without creating a new QR Code.
Can I edit the information saved in my QR Code?
-
Understanding QR Code Editability
There are two main types of QR Codes—Static and Dynamic:
Static QR Code: The data embedded in a Static QR Code cannot be changed once the code is generated. Any information saved in a Static QR Code is permanent and cannot be edited.
Dynamic QR Code: With Dynamic QR Codes, the content can be edited even after the QR Code has been created. This allows you to update the stored information, such as URLs, text, or other data, without altering the code itself. While the content can be edited, the QR Code design (e.g., color, logo) remains unchanged unless manually updated.

Steps to edit the Information in a Dynamic QR Code:
- Log in to the Scanova account
- Navigate to the My QR Codes section
- Locate and select the Dynamic QR Code to edit
- In the QR Code details page, select View/Edit QR Code Content
- Update the information (such as the URL, contact details, or any other content) as needed
- Click on Apply to save the changes
- The content of the QR Code will be updated without changing the QR Code image.
Note: After clicking the View/Edit option of the Content section the steps of editing the content will be different for each QR Code category. However, the initial steps of editing the content will be the same for all the QR Codes.
