Deleting a QR Code in Scanova is simple, but it’s important to understand how deletion affects the user’s account. This article will guide the process of deleting a QR Code and clarify whether deleted QR Codes still count against the plan's limit.

How to Delete a QR Code
Static QR Codes are permanent that means even if they are deleted from the Scanova account, they will still continue to work.
On the other hand, Dynamic QR Codes, once deleted will stop working. It is mandatory for Dynamic QR Codes to be present in the Scanova Account in order to be operational.
To delete a QR Code in Scanova, follow these steps:
- Login to the Scanova Account
- Go to My QR Codes on the sidebar navigation bar
- Go to the QR Code to delete
- Click on the three dots and Select Delete
- A prompt will appear for the confirmation
Alternatively, delete several QR Codes at once (maximum 10)
Here's how you can do it:
- Login to the Scanova Account
- Go to My QR Codes on the sidebar navigation bar
- Select the check box beside the Name of the QR Code
- Click on Trash Icon
- A prompt will appear for the confirmation
Note: Once the QR Code is deleted, the QR Code will be moved to the Trash section and will be permanently deleted in 30 days. User can delete the QR Code from the Trash section as well to delete it permanently with immediate effect. Also, the QR Code limit of the account will not be affected by the deleted QR Code within this 30-day period.

What is 'Trash' section in My QR Codes
Deleted QR Codes are temporarily stored in the Trash section before being permanently removed from the account. QR Codes in the Trash can be restored or permanently deleted.
The 'Trash' section is located at the bottom-left corner of the 'My QR Codes' dashboard and is designed to store all QR Codes that have been deleted from the Scanova account.
Functions of the 'Trash' Section:
- Storing Deleted QR Codes:Once QR Code is deleted from the account's dashboard, it automatically moves to the 'Trash' section. Here, it will remain for a period of 30 days, allowing you a period to reconsider its deletion.
- Restoring a QR Code: Easily restore the QR Code back to your main list. To do this, navigate to the 'Trash' section, select the QR Code you wish to restore, and click on the 'Restore' option.
- Permanent Deletion: If the user no longer need a QR Code within this 30-day period, user can choose to permanently delete it from the 'Trash' section immediately

How do I restore my deleted QR Codes
Once a QR Code is deleted,, it is transferred to Trash. Here's how you can access and restore the deleted QR Codes:
- Login to the Scanova Account
- Go to My QR Codes on the sidebar navigation bar
- Click on the Trash icon available at the bottom of the My QR Codes section of the Scanova Account
- Select the QR Code(s) you want to restore
- Click on Restore
Note: A QR Code which is present in the Trash section for more than 30 days is automatically permanently deleted by our system.
