This article explains how to create an Event QR Code using Scanova QR Code Generator. Event QR Codes help you generate event invitations with RSVP and calendar options.
Introduction
An Event QR Code links to a mobile-optimized landing page that includes event details such as schedule, venue, and RSVP options. Attendees can view the event details and add the event to their calendar.
A. Log in to Scanova
Go to Scanova and log in (For new users, a 14-day free trial account is available for sign-up)
B. Create Event QR Code
- Navigate to Create QR Code from the left sidebar
- Select Event QR Code or search for it using the keyword Event
C. Add Event Information
- Input essential event details:
- Page Title: Name your event
- Banner Images: Upload up to three images for the event landing page
- Event Description: Provide event information and speaker lists
- Buttons: Add URLs to redirect guests to websites or image galleries
- Specify the Event Schedule with the date, time, and venue. Enter the location on the map for easy navigation
- Add RSVP Options: Include an email address to collect responses, guest limits, and questions for attendees
- Optional: Add Social Sharing Buttons to allow guests to share the event on their social media profiles
D. Add Components (Optional)
- File Attachment: Add files from your device, Google Drive, or OneDrive
- Custom Form: Collect data with up to 20 questions (available in Standard and Pro plans)
- Map Location: Add a map redirect button
- Video: Embed a video via URL or upload a file (Enterprise plan)
- Event Tracking: Track button clicks with unique tracking IDs (Pro plan)
E. Preview and Adjust Time Zones
- Preview the landing page in the right-hand panel
-
Note on Time Zones: The preview might display event times based on your local timezone, which may differ from the event's scheduled timezone. However, end-users will see the event time adjusted to their own timezone, ensuring accuracy
For example, if you schedule an event at 17:43 CET, it will display as 22:13 IST in your preview if you are in the Indian Standard Time zone. Despite the difference in preview, the event time remains correct for all attendees based on their location.
F. Finalize QR Code Settings
On the following screen, provide:
- A QR Code Name and an optional Tag for better organization
- Confirm that the QR Code is Dynamic (editable and trackable)
- Adjust advanced settings if necessary (e.g., Customize Short URL, Lead Generation, GPS Location, Password Protection)
Note: These features are available in higher subscription plan
G. Generate and Download QR Code
- Click Create QR Code to generate it
- To personalize the QR Code further (e.g., colors, patterns, logos), select Edit Design
- It is recommended to test the QR Code to ensure proper functionality before downloading
- To download, click Download and choose the preferred format (PNG, JPG, SVG, etc.) and image size
