a. How to Send Tickets via WhatsApp using Registration Form
Event Registration is a feature that allows event organizers to share an ‘event page with a registration link' with potential guests.
On clicking the link, the guests are asked to fill a form and register themselves for the event. On successful registration, the ticket automatically gets generated (or after approval) for that guest and is sent to the guest’s email/phone number/WhatsApp.
Here's how you can send tickets via WhatsApp using the registration form:
- Login to your Ticket Generator Account
- Go to Manage Events and create an event
- Go to Create Tickets > Bulk and design the ticket. You can either upload your ticket design or use the standard template
- On the bottom of the page, add variable information placeholders as part of the ticket design (upto 5 header-value sets)
- Click on Done
- On the Choose Delivery Method page, click on Generate Form Link
- On the Design Page that follows, you can Use Banner Images and Description Box fields to make the form more appealing to your guests. Ensure that you capture the necessary information from your guests by providing the relevant fields in the Form Fields section and choosing the Get Ticket via WhatsApp option
- Click on Done Editing
- In the Registration Settings Page - Choose the Approval System. You can either allow Auto-Approval or Requires Approval depending on your use-case. Also, set a limit for the number of registrations, and finally generate a link
- When the end-user has access to the Registration Page URL, he/she will have to click on Get Ticket via WhatsApp checkbox to be able to receive tickets via WhatsApp
- In the Registrations Table you can view all the requests that you get via Event Registration. You can also approve/reject these requests, and additionally view the status of each request

d. How to Send Tickets via WhatsApp using Create Ticket > Single
This feature allows you send the tickets via WhatsApp in two ways:
-
Download/Send Single Event Ticket: The feature allows you to create single event tickets in a few easy steps. This is particularly helpful when you have created and distributed tickets to your guests but you now need some on-the-spot tickets (say for walk-ins). With the help of this feature, there will be no need to follow the entire process of creating a whole batch of tickets again. Note that for each new ticket generated via this feature, you will be charged one ticket credit
Here is how to create and download/send a single ticket for an event:
- Login to your Ticket Generator account
- Click on Create Tickets>Single Ticket from the left-sidebar via your account dashboard
- Select the event you want to create the ticket for
- In the Choose Action step, click on New Ticket
- In the Choose Delivery Method, choose Send Ticket if you want to send a new Ticket via WhatsApp
- In the next step you’ll be required to enter the guest’s email and phone number. You'll need to click on Send Tickets via WhatsApp followed by clicking Generate & Send. Note that you may also have to enter variable information (ticket information) if it was part of the ticket design
-
Resend Event Ticket: The feature also allows you to resend existing tickets. A situation may arise where a guest claims to have not received the original ticket or is now lost/deleted. Using this option, you can search for the ticket and send it again via email/SMS/WhatsApp
Here is how to search and resend a ticket for an event:
- Login to your Ticket Generator account
- Click on Create Tickets>Single Ticket from the left-sidebar via your account dashboard
- Select the event for which you want to resend a ticket
- In the Choose Action step, click on Resend Ticket
- From the search bar that appears, choose your preferred mode of searching the ticket—Ticket ID, Email ID, or Phone Number
- Enter the information you have and click on the Search button. You will then see the search results which ticket information in each result
- You can now resend the ticket to the original recipient (via Email/SMS/WhatsApp) and email it to others as well (to get a copy of the ticket in case the original recipient doesn't receive it again)
- You'll have to check the Send ticket via WhatsApp if you want the end-user to receive ticket via WhatsApp
- Note that the ticket will be sent to your guest and you will not be charged extra for this process
