Use this guide to understand the feature about providing custom permissions to shared users of your account on our Web Application Scanova QR Code Generator
It is definitely possible to assign custom permissions to shared users of your account. Note that this feature is only available in the Enterprise Plan of Scanova QR Code Generator. For details, please contact support@scanova.io
Background: The Pro Plan of Scanova QR Code Generator allows users to add upto 20 shared users in their Scanova Account and assign them 3 levels of permission viz. Admin, Manager and Viewer. These permissions have their own allowances and restrictions. However, it wasn't possible to assign custom permissions using this feature as all the permissions were set as default
About the Feature: The new feature available to Enterprise Plan users allows to assign Custom Permissions to the shared users of your account as per your feasibility.
Here's how you can assign custom permissions to the shared users:
- Login to your Scanova QR Code Generator Account
- Click on Settings tab on the left sidebar
- Here you can view the default permission levels set in the Viewer, Manager and Admin profile
- Click on Create User Profile Button
- In the pop-up that appears assign the Custom Role Name that you want to create
- Subsequently, you can choose the permission levels
- Click on Expand Icon to view the detailed permission levels
- Click on the Checkbox to select the permission for assigning it to the shared user
- Post selecting all the relevant permissions click on Save Role
Your New Custom Permission Level is now saved with the existing Levels. Now, to assign the Custom Role to a shared user, please follow the below steps:
- Login to your Scanova QR Code Generator account
- Go to Settings and click Users
- Click Invite User
- Add name and email address of the new user
- Next, choose "Level of Access". User will be able to take actions (such as viewing/editing/adding QR Codes and viewing analytics) depending on the level of access you choose [Note: The Custom Role added will be available here]
- Click on Send Invite and the user will get an invitation via email
