Save and Use a Template of the Design Option

This article explains how to save a design as a template and use it for future QR Codes in Scanova QR Code Generator.

A. Create and Customize a QR Code

To save a design template, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Scanova account

2. Click on Create QR Code

3. Select Website QR Code from the QR Code category

4. Enter the URL of the website and create the QR Code

5. Click on Edit Design

Scanova offers two design options: Custom Logo Design and AI-Generated Design.

I. Custom Logo Design

1. Choose a design template from the Recommended options or Saved Designs

2. Click on Continue Editing

3. Add a frame to the QR Code:

   • Select from Suggested Frames or all available frame options

   • Change the frame color or QR Code background color if needed

4. Click Next

5. Add or remove a logo or icon:

   • Logo: Use your company's logo in the QR Code

   • Choose from Gallery: Select a logo from the tool’s gallery

   • Upload Own Logo: Click Upload Own Logo to add a logo from your device
     

   • Add Text: Enter custom text in the available space, with options to adjust size, color, bold, and italics

   • Remove Blocks Around the Logo: Selecting "Yes" removes data modules around the logo

6. Customize further:

   • Eyes tab: Change the pattern and color of the eyes of the QR Code

   • Data tab: Modify the pattern and color of data modules

   • Background tab: Change the QR Code’s background color or make it transparent

   • Quiet Zone: Adjust the size of the quiet zone (empty space around the QR Code)

   • Error Correction tab: The error correction level is set automatically when uploading a logo but can be manually adjusted if the logo is removed

7. After finalizing the design, click Done Editing

B. Save the Design as a Template

Once the QR Code design is finalized, you can save it as a template for future use:

1. Under the customized QR Code, look for the option Save as Template
   
   

2. Click on it to save your current QR Code design as a reusable template

3. The saved template will be available under Saved Designs for quick access when creating new QR Codes

C. Use a Saved Template

To use a previously saved template for a new QR Code:

1. Create a new QR Code or open an existing one

2. Click on Edit Design
   
   

3. Go to the Saved section

4. Select the saved template from the available options

5. Click Apply to use the template for your QR Code

D. Download the QR Code

1. Click on Download

2. Select the required format: SVG, PNG, JPG, EPS, or PDF

3. Save the file to your device

By saving and using templates, you can maintain a consistent QR Code design without having to customize it each time.
