By participating in the Scanova Referral Program ("Program"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms are an extension of the Scanova Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Program Participation
1.1 Eligibility: The Program is open to active paid subscribers of Scanova ("Referrer") who are at least 18 years of age. Users on free, trial, or expired plans are not eligible to generate or share referral links. Scanova reserves the right to modify eligibility criteria, including extending the Program to additional user segments, at any time. Employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners of Scanova may be excluded from participation at Scanova's discretion.
1.2 The Platform: This Program is managed via a third-party service, Reditus. By participating, you acknowledge that tracking, attribution, link generation, and commission payouts are subject to Reditus's operational functionality. Notifications relating to the Program (including sign-up and purchase confirmations) may be delivered via Reditus or, where required, via Scanova's email service provider.
2. Qualified Referrals
A "Qualified Referral" occurs when all the following conditions are met:
- New User: The referred person ("Referee") must not have a pre-existing account with Scanova.
- Tracking: The Referee must sign up using your unique Reditus referral link, and attribution must be successfully recorded by Reditus.
- Paid Subscription: The Referee must complete a paid subscription purchase on Scanova. Free trials, free plans, and unpaid sign-ups do not qualify.
- Payment Cleared: The Referee's subscription payment must be successfully processed and must clear any applicable refund or cooling-off period.
2.1 Self-Referral: You cannot refer yourself, create multiple accounts, or use aliases to earn rewards. Such activity will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any pending or paid commissions, and may result in termination of your Scanova account.
3. Reward Structure & Limits
Upon a Qualified Referral, the Referrer will receive a recurring commission based on the Referee's subscription payments.
3.1 Commission Rate: The Referrer will receive 20% of the net subscription revenue paid by the Referee to Scanova, excluding taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and any third-party processing fees.
3.2 Payout Duration: The 20% commission applies to the Referee's subscription payments for a maximum period of 12 months, beginning from the date of the Referee's first qualifying paid subscription. Commissions cease automatically after this 12-month window, regardless of whether the Referee continues their subscription thereafter.
3.3 Qualifying Payments: Commissions are calculated on:
- Recurring monthly or annual subscription fees paid by the Referee during the 12-month window.
- Plan upgrades made by the Referee during the 12-month window (commission applies to the upgraded subscription amount going forward).
Commissions are not payable on:
- One-time fees, add-ons, or non-subscription purchases unless explicitly stated.
- Amounts refunded, charged back, or credited back to the Referee.
- Taxes (including GST, VAT, and sales tax), payment processing fees, or third-party charges.
- Subscription periods occurring after the 12-month commission window has ended.
3.4 Issuance Timing: Commissions will be credited to the Referrer's Reditus account only after the Referee's corresponding payment has been successfully processed and any applicable refund or cooling-off period has elapsed. Payout schedules, minimum payout thresholds, and supported payout methods are governed by Reditus's standard policies.
4. Commission Calculation Examples
The following table illustrates how commissions are calculated. All figures are illustrative and exclude taxes and processing fees.
| Scenario | Referee Subscription | Monthly Commission (20%) | Duration | Total Commission |
| Monthly Plan, Full Year | $50/month for 12 months | $10/month | 12 months | $120 |
| Monthly Plan, Cancels Early | $50/month, cancels after 4 months | $10/month | 4 months | $40 |
| Annual Plan | $480 paid upfront (12-month term) | $96 one-time (20% of $480) | Covered by 12-month cap | $96 |
| Monthly Plan, Continues Past 12 Months | $50/month, continues into Month 13+ | $10/month | Capped at 12 months | $120 (no commission from Month 13 onward) |
| Upgrade Mid-Cycle | $50/month → upgrades to $100/month in Month 4 | $10 → $20/month from Month 4 | Remaining months in 12-month window | Pro-rated based on upgrade date |
5. Notifications
Scanova will endeavour to send email notifications to the Referrer for the following events:
- Successful sign-up by a Referee using the Referrer's link.
- Successful paid subscription by a Referee.
Notifications may be delivered via Reditus or, where Reditus does not support the required workflow, via Scanova's transactional email provider (e.g., Brevo). Scanova does not guarantee real-time delivery, and notifications are provided for informational purposes only. The official record of qualifying referrals and commissions is maintained within the Reditus dashboard.
6. Commission Usage and Restrictions
- Payout Method: Commissions are paid out via PayPal or the methods supported by Reditus. Referrers are responsible for maintaining accurate payout details in their Reditus account.
- Taxes: Referrers are solely responsible for reporting and paying any income, withholding, or other taxes applicable to commissions earned under the Program in their jurisdiction. Scanova may request tax documentation where required by law.
- Non-Transferable: Commissions are payable only to the Referrer who generated the referral link and cannot be transferred or assigned to another party.
- Revocation & Clawback: Scanova reserves the right to revoke, reverse, or claw back commissions if the Referee requests a refund, initiates a chargeback, cancels within a cooling-off period, or if the referral is deemed fraudulent or in breach of these Terms.
-
Non-Stackable: Referral commissions cannot be combined with affiliate, reseller, partner, or other commercial agreements with Scanova unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
7. Prohibited Activities
Referrers must not engage in the following:
- Spam: Sending unsolicited emails or messages that violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, India's DPDP Act, or other applicable anti-spam laws.
- Paid Advertising on Brand Terms: Bidding on keywords related to "Scanova" or its trademarks on search engines (Google Ads, Bing, etc.), or running ads that impersonate Scanova.
- Coupon Sites: Posting referral links on coupon aggregation sites or discount boards.
- Misrepresentation: Making false claims, guarantees, or misleading statements about Scanova's pricing, features, or commitments in connection with the referral.
- Incentivized Referrals: Offering cashbacks, kickbacks, or other inducements to Referees in exchange for signing up, unless expressly permitted in writing by Scanova.
- Self-Dealing: Referring yourself, your own accounts, or accounts you control, directly or indirectly.
Violation of this section may result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of pending and paid commissions, and termination of Scanova account access.
8. Modifications and Termination
Scanova reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice. This includes the right to change the commission percentage, the 12-month payout cap, eligibility criteria, or the payout platform. In the event of Program termination, commissions already earned on Qualified Referrals prior to the termination date will continue to be paid out for the remainder of the applicable 12-month window, subject to these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
Scanova shall not be liable for any technical errors, data loss, attribution failures, payout delays, or tracking issues arising from the use of the Reditus platform or any third-party email service provider (including Brevo). Participation in the Program is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanova's total liability under the Program is limited to the commissions actually owed and unpaid to the Referrer at the time the claim arises.
