If your QR Code was previously working but is not working anymore then it could be due to the following reasons:
1. Dynamic QR Code Expired
Dynamic QR Codes are URL-based QR Codes that are 'editable'. This means that the linked content can be edited anytime while the QR Code image will remain the same.
Also, Dynamic QR Codes are trackable. You can track and view scan analytics for the Dynamic QR Codes created and saved in your account.
Note that Dynamic QR Codes work only if you have an active subscription. See our Plans and Pricing.
So unless you start a subscription with us, your QR Codes will remain deactivated if your Free Trial/Ongoing Subscription has ended. Users will not be able view the contents of your QR Codes when they scan them.

2. Wear and Tear
It might be possible that if your QR Code is placed in on a material that is prone to wear and tear it might get damaged and subsequently become unscannable. In this case, you'll need to re-print the QR Code.
Also, to maintain the scannability despite wear-and-tear it is recommended to choose High levels of error correction i.e. Level Q or H. Here's a detailed guide: QR Code Error Correction.
Here's how you can set the error correction:
- Login to your Scanova Account
- Go to 'My QR Codes' on the left panel
- Hover your cursor over the QR Code you wish to update
- Click on 'View/Edit'
- Click on 'Edit Design' on right hand side and below the QR Code Image
- Click on 'Custom Logo Design'
- Set the error correction to 'H' or 'V'
- Click on 'Done Editing'
