The Tags feature on Scanova QR Code Generator is a flexible way to group, organize, and manage your QR Codes by adding single or multiple 'tags' or 'labels' to them.
Note: There is no limit on the maximum number of tags that can be assigned to a single QR Code.
Tags will allow you to not only search the QR Codes (from the My QR Codes section) but also view analytics (by tag).
Here's a demo video that shows how to use efficiently 'Tags' in your Scanova QR Code Generator Account
How to add tags to a QR Code
There are 2 stages at which we can add 'Tags' to a QR Code. Let's explore them below:
- While generating a QR Code: After entering the target content of the QR Code, on the 'Create QR Code' screen you will see an option to add Tags, wherein you can assign the tags that will help you to categorize that particular QR Code
- After the QR Code has been generated: You can also add a Tag after the creation of a QR Code. Simply go to My QR Codes, click on the Add Tag option which appears below the name of the QR Code, and then provide the name of the tag(s)
Note: Whenever you type the name of a tag you have to hit Enter, an elliptical box will appear around that tag and then you can click on Save. You can always check if a tag is saved or not under the 'My QR Codes' section.
How to use tags for retrieving select QR Codes (My QR Codes)
You can search for QR Codes via tags if you have a group of QR Codes intended for a specific purpose and you have already tagged these QR Codes with a name.
Simply navigate to 'Filters' at the top, choose the tags from the dropdown, and then click on 'Search'. Note that when you choose multiple tags in the dropdown list, the application will search for QR Codes that have all selected tags (AND operation).
How to use tags to retrieve analytics data of select QR Codes (Analytics)
The analytics section also has the feature of extracting the scan data for a group of QR Codes using just the tag name instead of the QR Code names.
In Analytics, navigate to the section Select QR Codes or tags, choose the option of tags from the dropdown, select the tags for which you want to see the Analytics, select the date range and click on Get Analytics.
