QR Codes are as secure as the data that you save (encode) in them.
If you create a Static QR Code, your data will be hard-coded directly into the QR Code and will not have any connection with the service provider. Note that Static QR Codes are non-editable and non-trackable.
Whereas, if you create a Dynamic QR Code, the service provider's short URL is hard-coded into the QR Code and your data gets saved on the service provider's servers.
Since your data is getting saved in the database of the service provider so you need to be sure about the Information Security Practices of that organization. Below are the details of Scanova's Information Security measures:
- We use Amazon Web Services to securely store the QR Code data. The servers of AWS used for storing the data are ISO 27001:2013 certified, and we have SOC1 and SOC2 reports for the servers
- Also, our Company and the tool are ISO 27001:2013 certified by BSI
- We prioritize data security and compliance. Our tool is SOC 2 and GDPR compliant, ensuring the protection and privacy of your data.
Note: ISO 27001 is a standard industry-level certification for cloud service providers to ensure information security is maintained at every step of the company's operation.
