Why do I see devices other than mobile phones in Analytics?

This guide is only relevant to Standard and Pro users of Scanova QR Code Generator. Use this guide to understand as to why devices other than mobile phones are visible in Analytics data. 

A QR Code can be scanned by the following devices:

1. Mobile Phone/Smartphone: This is the most common device that is used to scan QR Codes. Bulk of your scans will come via this device type
2. Tablet: Note that a tablet (iPad, etc.) is also a mobile device and can be used to scan a QR Code
3. PC: Our system can recognize that a QR Code has been scanned by a PC in the following two cases: If a QR Code is scanned using the webcam of a PC (e.g. WebQR) OR If the short URL encoded in a QR Code (such as https://scnv.io/ABCD) is opened directly in a web browser of a PC
4. Bot: If a web crawler or bot decodes a QR Code by visiting the short URL, then our system recognises the device as a bot
