Use this guide to understand how to validate tickets generated using the web application Ticket Generator.
To validate tickets, you need to first ensure that you’re authorized to do so, i.e. you should either be an account admin or an event coordinator.
If you’ve been added as an event coordinator, you’ll receive an email with the steps to set up your account and login credentials for the Ticket Validator app.
Whereas, if you’re the account admin, you can login on the app using the same credentials that you used while creating your Ticket Generator account.
Here's how to proceed further:
A. Install the Ticket Validator app
B. Log into the app and scan
- Log into the Ticket Validator app and select the event for which you wish to validate tickets
- Click on Open Scanner and point at the QR Code printed on tickets for a few seconds
- A pop-up will appear, showing whether the ticket is valid, invalid, or duplicate
- In case the QR Code has been worn out due to wear and tear, you can still validate the ticket using Enter Ticket Code option. Here, you simply need to enter the serial code printed below the QR Code on the ticket and it's status will be displayed
