This article explains how to manage email preferences in Scanova, allowing users to choose which types of emails they want to receive.
Scanova sends various automated emails to keep users informed about important updates, promotions, and account activity. However, users can manage their email preferences to receive only the emails that are relevant to them. This guide will show how to set email preferences or unsubscribe from specific types of emails.
A. For Account Owner
To unsubscribe from the automated emails from Scanova, follow these steps:
- Login to the Scanova Account
- From the left sidebar, click on Profile > Email Preferences
-
Under the Email Settings section, the option to turn 'OFF' automated emails for each category is available via the toggle button
The detailed list of Automated email options you can unsubscribe from is given below:
A1. Subscription Plan
This section allows users to unsubscribe from the 'Plan Expiry Reminder' and the 'Recurring Payment Reminder’ emails
A2. Billing
If the emails in this section are turned OFF, invoice copies will no longer be received via email
A3. Scan Analytics
If set to OFF, end-users will not have the option to send an email notification when a QR Code in the account has expired and is scanned. If set to ON, end-users will be given the option to notify when they scan an expired QR Code associated with the account
A4. API
If set to OFF, users will no longer receive reminder emails about the expiry of API tokens
A5. Support/Promotional
This section allows you to get email notifications about:
- Notifications from the Scanova Support Team/regular check-in emails
- Promotional emails which include emails of our latest offers, discounts, and exclusive deals
- Weekly Newsletter email that includes the latest news and updates on QR Code technology
Users have an option to disable any or all of the above email preferences
A6. Unsubscribe from all emails
This option allows the user to stop receiving all non-transactional emails from Scanova. Non-transactional emails include those not associated with specific interactions, such as marketing or promotional emails. However, transactional emails will still be received.
Transactional emails are automated messages triggered by account activity, such as account creation or password reset emails.
By default, the toggle button is set to OFF. It can be switched to ON to stop receiving all non-transactional emails.
B. For Shared Users
Pro and Enterprise subscribers of Scanova QR Code Generator can add teammates to access the account dashboard with permissions to view, edit, and manage QR Codes and other data, based on their assigned permission level. For more details, refer to the article on How to add teammates to your Scanova account.
Shared users only have the option to stop receiving the weekly newsletter from the support team. Here’s how it can be done:
- Log in to the Scanova account dashboard
- From the left sidebar, click on Profile > Email Preferences
- Under the Email Settings section, users can toggle the email notifications ON or OFF. By default, the preference will align with the account owner’s choice
